NU Fuel

Local Project
Project Manager: Julia Pradhan, Paul Perkovich

NU Fuel is a young group in ESW, getting off the ground in the last couple quarters. It focuses on making the Northwestern Evanston campus more sustainable by recycling the food waste generated in the many dining halls into an anaerobic digester that produces methane to supply a portion of the university's power needs. The current project is exploring options with the university about installing a digester on campus and conducting feasibility studies on different types of digesters.
